Get to know God by reading His word and praying to him.  Praying is just talking to God and listening for his answer back. It may be out loud that he speaks or through His written word or various different other ways. Keep the lines open to hear Him.
 
 
Find a good local church that you can fellowship in. Find a body of belivers that are grounded in his word and truth. You will need help along the way!  The Christian walk is not an easy walk. It is a walk of faith! You build faith by going through things. Rememeber to go THROUGH and not sit and dwell.
 

Find a good bible beliving church that will teach you the truth about the Word of God and where you can find fellowship with other belivers.

It is very important to find brothers and sisters of  faith to help you, not hurt you in your walk of faith in Christ Jesus.
